SHADY ACRE FARM
Est. 1973
3423 Temescal Ave.
Shady Acre was started by two "city folks" in 1973. Over the last 50 years, Wayne & Elaine Lindsey have developed their acre into a farm that focuses on small-scale agricultural production. The primary focus is poultry and egg production, but the farm also features a small goat herd, garden boxes, citrus trees, and berries.
A recent renaissance of small-plot agriculture has inspired Shady Acre to work on local licensing and certifications. A treat station along the goat pen and flower beds that serve as a monarch way station have made the Shady Acre a popular stop for folks in the neighborhood on their evening walks.

ECOLOGICAL AGRICULTURE TRAINING & CULTURAL CENTER
4061 Sierra Ave
The Ecological Agriculture Training and Cultural Center’s Mission is to train farmers, engage farmer families and create community around ecologically-based, socially just and economically sustainable agriculture.
The Origins of the Ecological Agriculture Training & Cultural Center are planted in the alluvial soil of Southern California and the deep agricultural heritage that thrived there for centuries. Our program took root and grew out of Wayside Farm School. Launched in 2014, Wayside Farm School was an In-Custody, Education-Based Farming Partnership operated by Five Keys Schools & Programs and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The EAT! Farm is located on 5 acres within the City of Norco, and provides students with a hands-on, experiential opportunity to explore and implement the core concepts and skills covered during classroom sessions at the EAT! Cultural Center.
This year the Lake Norconian Foundation will have a booth at the Ranch for info on one of our historical sites here in town
